PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Qamar J Sharif is Ex-Chairman of the Board
of Directors for Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL),
Pakistan. He has more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas
industry. He assumed multiple senior roles at Shell International
Exploration and Production, Inc., Houston and Saudi Aramco,
Dhahran.
Dr. Qamar’s expertise includes corporate governance,
transformation, new joint ventures, drilling operations and engineering,
applied research, development of innovative solutions and
implementations.
OIL AND GAS TRAINING EXPERIENCE:
Dr Sharif conducted various training courses at
Upstream Professional Development Center, Saudi Aramco and taught
graduate courses at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals as a
visiting faculty.
He served as Curriculum Advisor for
Well Construction discipline at Petro Skills representing
Saudi Aramco. He served as Vice Chair-technical programs for
SPE-Saudi Arabia chapter.
Various
geographies where he offered training courses include Australia, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur,
Cambodia, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, London, New Orleans, Houston, and
Mexico.
