Program Dates: October 6 –

The SPS Internship Program is designed to connect talented students with real-world career opportunities in technology, business, and innovation. This 100% remote program allows students from anywhere in the world to participate without relocation or residency requirements.
The FYP Track allows students to develop a two-semester, industry-guided project that may meet their university’s final-year project requirements.
As a SPS Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience working at the cutting edge of technology, tackling real-world business challenges, and contributing to innovative solutions that drive business success. This is more than just an internship—it’s a chance to develop professionally, expand your skills, and make an impact alongside experienced leaders who will mentor and inspire you.
Participants receive foundational training on various products and services, preparing them for real-world applications.
Interns observe and learn the dynamics of client interactions, including pre- and post-sales engagements.
Upon demonstrating professional and business skills, interns gain opportunities to collaborate closely with teams, simulating coworker responsibilities.
After successful completion of the apprenticeship phase and obtaining relevant certifications, participants are positioned to transition into paid roles.
Interns can choose from over 20 career roles across three main organizational functions:
Human Resource, Accounting, Legal & Compliance, Administration
Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, AI & Automation, Learning & Events
Business Management, Sales, Marketing
Each field offers tailored experiences to develop relevant skills and industry knowledge.

There are two phases of the internship; Unpaid and Paid.
a. Unpaid Intern: You will start your internship journey as an Unpaid intern. In this phase, depending on the track you have selected (except micro-internships), you will learn how real-world work is done in an IT organization.
You will mainly be doing two things in this phase; training which is a self-paced learning material related to the track. This content will help you understand the track. Secondly, shadowing, in which you may get a chance to shadow the track leader's work.
There is no defined duration for this phase. However, we recommend that you complete this phase in a maximum of 3 months. You must clear the Role-enablement Test (RET) to pass this phase.
Note: You must pass this exam to clear the first phase of the internship and become eligible for the second phase of the internship, i.e., Paid Intern. You may request an internship completion certificate after completing the first phase of the internship.
b. Paid Intern: In this phase we offer 2 opportunities: Apprentice or Full-time.
i. Apprentice: Apprentices are assignment-based. Payment will be released only when the submitted task meets the desired outcome – regardless of the number of hours you have spent completing it – and is approved by the track leader.
ii. Full-time: Full-time internships will be offered to exceptional interns only. You must commit 40 hours a week.
For both opportunities, the remuneration amount/stipend will be decided by the track leader of the respective track based on the available budget.
Note: The second phase of the internship is not a guaranteed phase to transition. It totally depends on the business needs and the availability of the budget.
The internship follows a hybrid model. If you live in Rawalpindi/Islamabad or nearby areas, you can join us from the office located at NSTP building, NUST H-12. Else, you can work remotely.
What are the minimum attendance requirements and commitment?
The internship is designed to be manageable alongside your regular workload through flexible yet consistent engagement.
Each track leader has a defined schedule (office hours) for the track. Every intern must attend this session to connect with your track leader, learn about the track work, and share your progress.
This is mandatory for all interns to attend this session except for the reason if you have university exams going on. You must inform your track leader 1 week prior to your exams.
Rest, you need to work at your own convenience.
Once the track leader accepts your application in the applied track, you will receive an internship offer letter from the HR. You must sign the offer letter within 48 hours of issuance.
If you miss signing the offer letter, you will be automatically dropped, and your seat will be given to the next waiting intern. You must also login to the intern portal using the credentials shared via email. It is recommended to change your password.
Once you complete signing the offer letter, you will get further details via email within the next 72 hours regarding track orientation session.
There is no defined expectations from our side. You have to leverage to define weekly time commitment as per the availability of the free time in your schedule.
Please note, it is mandatory for every intern to attend the weekly sessions of the enrolled track.
