On May 2nd last year, the President issued an Executive Order mandating that the heads of all the Federal Departments and Agencies accelerate the development of cybersecurity skills and create the organizational and technological tools based on the NICE framework to maximize the cybersecurity talents and capabilities of American workers. The Executive Order also specified that these department heads be held accountable for managing cybersecurity risk to their enterprises, which includes ensuring the effectiveness of their cybersecurity workforces.

This Executive Order directly addresses the reality of today’s market. Study after study reveals a growing shortage of skills in the Cybersecurity arena. A recent ISC2 study predicts that there will be over 3.5 Million unfilled cybersecurity roles by 2021.
