Course Description

The IBM Tivoli Identity Manager 4.6 Installation and Configuration course caters to individuals who need to know the core steps of how to install IBM Tivoli Identity Manager. Topics will include middleware installation, IBM Tivoli Identity Manager Installation, agent installation and configuration, and IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator integration. This course is comprised of lecture and labs.

Objectives

After taking this course, the student will be able to:

• Describe the components of the system architecture
• Install and configure the prerequisite middleware and any required fixpacks
• Install IBM Tivoli Identity Manager
• Start IBM Tivoli Identity Manager and verify the installation by logging in as the IBM Tivoli Identity Manager administrator
• Create a user account for IBM Tivoli Identity Manager
• Use the system configuration program to change the behavior of IBM Tivoli Identity Manager (session timeouts, whether to send passwords in email, and so on)
• Install, start and configure an agent to provision a user account on the agent platform using secure communications
• Use IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator as an agent to provision accounts to a resource for which there is no agent available
• Use IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator as an identity feed to add users in a bulk load fashion from a simple CSV file
