Web Developer/Programmer

Profile:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Programming of new features into existing website
Work with the webmaster on the development of these new features
Testing the web sites for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions
Optimize web architecture for navigability in accordance with established protocols
Troubleshoot problems with web functioning
Work with network personnel on issues of hardware/software that affect the web
Assess compliance and interprets and applies protocols and regulations legally and equitably for assigned areas.
Maintains accurate and organized records, databases, systems and files in a manner consistent with the web administration strategic plan

REQUIREMENTS

Must have the skills and ability to work with HTML code editors and not necessarily depend on programs such as Dreamweaver or FrontPage to create layouts
Proficiency in the following applications: Dreamweaver, Contribute, Photoshop, Flash
Familiarity with JavaScript and ASP
Ability to conduct unit-level testing on all pages.
Understanding of hardware and software in the Internet environment specifically Windows IIS using Windows 2003/2008
Proficiency with CSS/DHTML; Proficiency with web publishing software and protocols (FTP, HTTP)
Familiarity with relational databases such as: Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, SQL Server
Excellent verbal, written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL

Degree in communication technology, and / or tech writing, or Computer Science is preferred plus three years experience
References of projects worked on.
