Designed, Installed and Configured a Network Management System. The Network Management System consists of two Collection Stations and a Management Station configured in a Distributed Management Model to optimize performance, notification and redundancy. The Management Station provides customized notifications to the appropriate Network Management Staff based on the device and event type. We continue to support and maintain the systems by implementing additional user requests as soon as they are approved by the Network Management Team. Tools/Software Used: Network Node Manager, Perl
Assisted in the Design and Implementation of an Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) Solution. The solution consisted of OpenView Operation, Network Node Manager, Service Desk, TelAlert and Remedy Action Request System (ARS). In the design of the solution, the customer required an ITIL Compliant Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in addition to the management and control of the managed nodes. OpenView Operations was used as the base system and the central console. The additional components integrated into the Operations Console to incorporated additional functionality. Design, Installed and Configured a ITIL Compliant Service Desk to provide a Consolidated HelpDesk Tool for Incident, Problem, Configuration and Service Level Management. In addition, we installed and configured Network Node Manager to monitor the network infrastructure and automatically create an incident based on device and event type. Provide a Manager of Manager Model and Digital Dashboard for the Combat Information Transport System (CITS). The tools used were OpenView Operations for Windows (OVOW) and Service Information Portal (SIP). OpenView Operations provides the Manager of Manager’s by integrating events from several different sources including Network Node Manager, NetIQ AppManager and SMARTS Availability Module. Operations combines these events into a single pane of glass view, correlates them and then provides notification via a Remedy Interface. Service Information Portal uses Operations and Network Node Manager as data sources to represent this data in a graphical Web Interface. In addition, we migrated the Opera Mail System from an external mail source to Microsoft Exchange. Provided an Opera Ball Database based on Microsoft Access to allow multiuser input to track member participation in the Annual Opera Fund Raising Event.
