Hash Malik Hash Malik founded Software Productivity Strategists (SPS) in 1993 to provide integration management and security for customers using complex Hewlett-Packard systems. Mr. Malik relied upon more than 10 years of sales and technical experience at HP in determining the direction of the company. Over the past 12 years Mr. Malik has lead the company in achieving recognition as a strategic partner for HP OpenView and IBM Tivoli products. Mr. Malik received a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Computer Science, both from Memphis State University. Mr. Malik also earned a Masters of Administration Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. He periodically teaches Computer Sciences at Johns Hopkins where he has been recognized as a Fellow at the John Hopkins University Information Security Institute. John Guy John Guy joined SPS in 2002 to provide strategic direction, assistance with partner alliances, and sales management expertise. Mr. Guy has worked within SPS to focus company resources on consulting and support in the areas of Identity Management and Access Management. This focus has enabled the company to be recognized in the past year as a leading Tivoli Access Management partner for IBM and as the only authorized training partner in the U. S. for Hewlett Packard Select Access. Prior to joining SPS, Mr. Guy worked at Hewlett-Packard Company where he served as Vice President and General Manager of HP’s Public Sector Organization. He received his degree from the Pennsylvania State University. Neelofar Malik Vice President - Operations Neelofar Malik is a cofounder of Software Productivity Strategists and has been active in the company since its inception in 1993. In her current capacity as Vice President of Operations she has been responsible for the creation of expense management processes that have contributed greatly to the companies profitability as well as the development of a competitive benefits program that enables employees to share in the company's success. In 2003, Ms. Malik led SPS into a new line of business - Web Event Management Services. This business has grown from zero to become a significant contributor to the overall SPS portfolio. After receiving her MBA from Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad, Pakistan, Ms. Malik served in various capacities within the tech industry before founding SPS. Mark Weinel Mark Weinel joined SPS in 1999 to provide training and consulting services as part of the HP OpenView Team. Mr. Weinel is responsible for executing the SPS Service Delivery Philosophy of “Results driven, Task defined, Team delivered, Before Time, Under Budget, Value-based Invoicing” for all HP SPS customers - State, Local and Educational (K12 and HigherEd) and Commercial. Mr. Weinel holds many certifications for many different Information Technology areas as a certified professional, such as Microsoft, HP and ITIL. Specifically, as an HP Certified Instructor and Accredited Systems Engineer, Mr. Weinel is certified in many solution areas, including Identity Management, Service Desk and ITIL Best Practices.He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, PA and a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering / Telecommunications from Johns Hopkins University, MD. Rainer Barthel Rainer Barthel joined Software Productivity Strategists (SPS) in May 2009 to provide business development and maintain customer relations. In December 2009, Mr. Barthel was promoted to head the Security Solutions division as Director of Security Solutions. Mr. Barthel came to SPS with extensive international expertise gained primarily from his many years of working in the IT departments of multinational companies; including the last 5 years as a CIO, and 20 years of business and sales management experience in various U.S. and European companies . Mr. Barthel received a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Technical University Carola-Wilhelmina in Brunswick, Germany and is a trained and certified Banker. Rainer lives in Falls Church, Virginia with his wife Lizette and their 9 years old son Lucas. In his spare time Rainer enjoys travelling with his family, spending time with the family pets (dog and cat) and watching Lucas play Soccer, Baseball and Flag Football. They have just joined the Boy Scouts of America and are often busy with related activities, Lucas as Cub Scout and Rainer as Assistant Boy Den Leader.
Mary Stang HR Manager Mary Stang joined SPS in 1996 to provide SPS with general administrative and accounting support to the Operations department. Currently, Ms. Stang manages Human Resources for SPS. In her role as the HR manager, Ms. Stang is responsible for the hiring, training and benefit programs for SPS employees. Ms. Stang also serves as the manager for the SPS Education program where she coordinates all activities for successful delivery of public and private training classes. She received an Associate of Arts degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.
